Review: Tresemme Split Remedy

Split Remedy

This is the shampoo that I received in the Latina Magazine Target Beauty Bag  a while back. This isn’t my first time using Tresemme though, a few years ago (before I had started blogging) I used to be in love with their shampoo for curly hair. I didn’t really care how effective it was, I like that it came in a fairly simple black bottle that isn’t overpowering, and I could get it in a very large size from walmart so I didn’t worry about running out ever. Tresemme Split Remedy has both those qualities, and more importantly the product works.

I really do have split ends, I use a lot of heat, both from a flat iron and a hair dryer, and rarely use the heat protectant spray  that I have. So I was really happy to see that the shampoo is supposed to reduce 80% of split ends after just three uses (about how much this sample contained). After using the whole bottle, I noticed significantly less split ends and my hair felt healthier, and stronger. Not to mention easier to manage. Best of all its super easy to use, Just lather, rinse and don’t worry about repeating.

As for the smell, I love how Tressemme smells. As I get older I think I’m going to have to rely more on products like this that have a “grown up” good smell, than my normal flowery or fruity smelling hair products. I mean Split Remedy’s smell lasts all day too, so the change shouldn’t be too big of a deal.

Since I really like my Silver Plus Purple Shampoo , I think I’m going to have to use this Tresemme Split Remedy Shampoo four days a week so I can repair my hair, and Jhirmack three days a week so I don’t have brassy hair.
