Dry Skin Therapy
Intensive Repair Hand Creme
I was given this sample at the same, “event” that I got the body wash for my Eucerin Calming Body Wash Review, but I have to say that I like this product a lot better. It’s not that that body wash is terrible, it just isn’t all that great. And this lotion is pretty great, especially for extremely dry skin, which is what its made for.
Heals and softens rough, dry hands, all without leaving a nasty residue because its non greasy. Since its from a dermatologist its also non irritating and fragrance free. When it comes out of the bottle, it has a fairly thin consistency. I wouldn’t call it watery, but is by far one of the “thinnest” lotions I’ve ever used. When I rub it into my hands though it has a texture similar to Vaseline, which reminds me of the Vaseline Sheer Infusion review I did last week. It does take a lot of lotion to completely work through the hands, but once enough is used hands end up feeling really nice. Now my hands were fairly dry when I used it and afterwards they felt very smooth, so this stuff does work.
A Warning. I would give this lotion 5/5 but after reading the label I saw this. This product contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly to the possibility of sun burn. Use a sun screen when using this product and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Because of this, I won’t be using this product again. If you are looking for another hand lotion, check out my Eos Hand Lotion review, I think its a little safer to use.
