Review: Pond’s Towelettes

Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I received these Pond’s Towelettes in the mail as a part of my Latina Magazine Target Beauty Bag . Actually they are my favorite sample that came as a part of those beauty products.  Before getting this in the mail though, I had never heard of Pond’s. But I did recently see a commercial about them on, so maybe they’re moving up. Or more likely they were just bought by Unilever (who does own them) which gave them a substantial increase to their marketing budget.

So here’s how it works. They instantly revive dull skin with moisturizing ingredients and soft white Kaolin clay, a natural mineral known to act like a magnet to draw out deep dwelling impurities and makeup.

The first thing I noticed when I got the towelette out was how thick it is! It seems to me that it could hold a lot of dirt. And it was “moist” not really wet, but obviously has something in it.  The smell is also very nice. Just refreshing and clean without being overpowering. After using them though, my skin did feel a little dry. But the next day my skin was noticeably brighter and cleaner looking. I may have even found something better than my acne wash (see Clean & Clear Morning Burst Review) Which would be great because I have a feeling its a lot less harsh, and it’ll remove my makeup.

So… I noticed after I savagely tore this open that there was a “peel here to open” thing towards the bottom, so I now have to put these in a clear plastic freezer bag. I guess that’s what I get for not reading directions. Notice the tea candle (I think that’s what its called) and the Nivea Creme Tin that are in my bathroom. I think that’s proof that it needs a little cleaning.
