What to Wear

Movies at Home

I think that I’m on a relationship outfit guide roll. Just yesterday I did a post about what to wear to Thanksgiving with your boyfriend and now I’m doing this post about what to wear on a “date” when you’re just watching movies at your (or his) house.  The main thing to remember about this look is that you do want to look nice but not high maintenance. You don’t though want to mistake casual for easy, which really isn’t that hard to do but you do want to be super comfortable because its movie night!

  • Lace Crochet Crop Top – $8 This is the one part of your outfit that is going to be alluring. Its also the cheapest, which shows you sometimes you don’t have to pay a lot to get something nice. The lace adds a kind of romantic feel, and the cropped top shows a little skin. I know I always warn about this, but seriously don’t wear this if you aren’t in shape.
  • Ted Baker ESSTIE – $165 I really do have a thing for skinny jeans, but what can I say they’re perfect for someone with a shape like mine. Since these are so dark it makes them look a little less like jeans, and a little bit more dressy. They are still just as comfortable though.
  • Essie Turquoise and Caicos – $8 I am actually very fond of Essie nail polish colors  and I really love this bright color. Since The rest of the outfit is just black and white, its nice to add a pop of color.
  • Lavin Classic Ballerina – $495 High heels on a movie date, especially one that is at home scream high maintenance. That’s why ballerina flats are the way to go. I love that they match the Turquoise and Caicos nail polish.
  • Tiffany and Co Locket – $1500 I love Tiffany and Co necklaces  although this one is a little more expensive than the one I own. You could go with the cheaper silver version but, personally although I like the color of silver I’m not a big fan of the metal itself.
