How to Pair a T-Shirt and Clutch
I really love when I can combine something that is traditionally dressy and something that is traditionally more casual and make a “classy” outfit from it. I think that one of my first attempts at doing this (which ended up looking very nice by the way) was my Guide to Looking Classy in a Mini Skirt. It allows me to wear a lot of different kinds of fashion pieces without having to go do something fancy. Speaking of which, I’m going to have to go to some fancy music kind of playing thing sometime in the future. Not really my choice, but you have to support your friends I guess. I’m sure I’ll do a sort of How To or What to Wear about that when it comes around. I might be able to hold it off for a few months though, if I’m lucky. Its not that I don’t want to go, its just that I don’t know how to behave at these kind of functions.
- Loose T-Shirt, MAJE – $93 I normally only ever wear fitted t-shirts, and even that happening is rare. I can only think of one time that I’ve bought one for myself and that was from a Tj Maxx haul. What can I say it was cheap. For this though a loose shirt is so much better, it doesn’t say causal just laid back. The best kind to get would be one that doesn’t have a tight collar. The looser around the neck/shoulders, the better.
- High Heeled Sandals – $595 High heels almost always look delicate, and dressy and these kind of sandals take away any masculine feel that the t-shirt gives off, without being too dressy to wear out to go shopping.
- Ripped Skinny Jeans, MissRebel – $32 It may seem like jeans are the least casual type of pants, but recently the have become more dress attire appropriate. Ripped jeans no longer are looked at as being trashy and can do a lot for an outfit. I guess it is possible though that I just really like jeans. I mean, I do own a ton of them.
- Silver Gothic Clutch, Sarah’s Bag -$450 I love sparkly clutches, but they are normally impossible to wear. With the ripped jeans and red t-shirt though it really does work well.
