Review: Garnier Fructis Fortifying Conditioner

fortifying conditioner green bottle

I was sure that I had done a review over at least one Garnier Fructis product before, because I’ve tried so many. Of course after looking though, I realized I haven’t, something that can only be blamed on the fact that I’m a lazy blogger. Now though I’m getting to it, and I’m going to write about their Fortifying cream conditioner body boost. This is in a travel size in case you’re wondering about the bottle.

Garnier really makes fantastic moisturizing conditioners. Every one I’ve tried has been great for making my hair feel refreshed, which reminds me that their shampoos are pretty great at this too. I’d say that this conditioner is even better for moisturizing than the Herbal Essences Conditioner¬†that I’ve liked so well. Best of all it does it with a thinner formula so I don’t feel like I have a ton of gunk in my hair, and I don’t have to worry about some of it not rinsing out.

It also has this great fruity kind of smell. Maybe that’s where the fructis part of them name comes from. For a drug store line Garnier Fructis did an amazing job with their fortifying products. For less than $5 you can get a full sized bottle.

There is only one problem with this conditioner though. It says that it adds volume. I have another conditioner that adds volume, and I can tell you Garnier doesn’t compare. It makes my hair silky, smooth and hydrated but it doesn’t add any volume. So if you’re looking for something specifically to make you look like you have more hair this isn’t the conditioner for you. Otherwise it is pretty fantastic at just about everything else.
