How to Wear a Leather Jacket

Wearing Leather Outerwear

The weather is finally cold enough for outerwear. Just today I finally was able to wear the jacket that I bought from my Fall Haul, button it all the way up and not sweat one bit! There is one trend that until recently I haven’t quite been able to get right, but since it seems to be sticking around I worked and worked outfits until I finally figured out how to make a stylish outfit featuring a leather jacket. I mean if you see my leather and fur polyvore I’ve been able to do other leather wear. Any way for this look I was going for a classy and casual feel, not edgy, country or punk.
  •  Leather jacket, Danier – Of course the first is the leather jacket. I love the asymmetric cut on this outerwear, it gives the leather a fashion forward look instead of the typical biker feel. The brown color is quite a bit softer than a black would be because you don’t want to look intense or intimidating.
  • High Low Tank, Rebecca Minkoff – Reds and browns look great together, better really than any other color. Since the high low trend is big, I decided to add in a tank with that, and the back on this Rebecca Minkoff one is so feminine.
  • Skinny Jeans, Pull and Bear – For a darker top, the way to go is a lighter jean. Unless of course you’re in need of that slimming effect darker jeans give. For this you really don’t want a distressed jean, or at most one with minimum wear. Although great brand to check out for jeans is Sass and Bride that I featured in my How to Look Classy in a Hoodie outfit.
  • Booties, Jeffery Campbell – I’m so in love with these black and white lace up booties. I know I just bought myself a pair but I want these too. Its too bad my boyfriend really isn’t a fan of high heels.
