I just did a review over another one of Avon’s Lacquers the Tuscan Russet nail polish, and I have to say I wasn’t all that impressed. This Bare Necessity which is also made by Avon however, is my favorite polish of the moment. I honestly can’t think of one thing I don’t like about this polish, even though its a little more neutral than my normal polishes Avon Bare Necessity is going to be a staple in my beauty drawer.
I’ve mentioned many times how much I love Avon’s packaging, and this nail polish bottle is no exception. Its just round enough that you get a fun salon look, but square enough that it will lay flat against other polishes (for those of you who store nail polish in drawers). It has an easy to open lid, and the brush on the inside is very nice.
You might be expecting, like I was, from a nail polish that’s called Bare Necessity that its going to swatch on very thin, but not this one. One coat would really have been enough for any girl. Applying it, its streak free, and awfully smooth. I didn’t have any mess on the sides of my nails to clean up after using this polish.
The color, which I wasn’t really expecting to like, of Avon Bare Necessity nail polish is very pleasant. I’m not going to pretend its going to get a lot of attention, but this is one of those polishes that’ll go with any outfit, so you won’t have to repaint your nails for a week. Its a light copper color with a hint of pink. If you’re looking for something more pink, I’d go with Avon’s Fusion Nail Polish, and if you don’t love the warm copper feel that Bare Necessity has, you can check out the Wet n Wild Grey’s Anatomy
Overall I really love this Avon Bare Necessity nail polish. Its probably going to become my everyday wear for my toes, so that I don’t have to worry about matching anything. Its a great color, has a nice bottle, and goes onto my nails so nicely. I will buy this again once it runs out.
