I was lucky enough to win a gift basket of P&G and one of the things inside was this Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm. I’ve been looking for a sheer gloss, one that isn’t going to be super sticky or heavy, you know, just something to add a little bit of color to my lips with no hassle. Although I don’t think this Covergirl product is perfect, it’s something I’m for sure going to use up, and for a drug store product I’m quite impressed.
This Covergirl Lip Gloss is sold just as the stick, no box that it came in. The cap has the color on it, which I love because that makes it so much easier when you’re in a rush and trying to get your makeup in the morning. The black, with silver end that serves as a twister to get more product out, looks like something that’d be on a high end product. The only thing I don’t like is that The color 213 cotton candy twist is only on the plastic safety seal that you have to take off before you can use the product, this means repurchasing could be a pain.
Here’s what the swatch looks like, not the black one that’s an eyeliner, the pink one, it’s an oranges pink that’s barely noticeable. It feels really nice going on, and I felt like it actually did give me a little moisture. It isn’t however going to give you a lot of color, or any shine being this Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm is matte. I love the crayon tip that’s easy to apply though.
Verdict: I really like the Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm. It isn’t a traditional lip gloss more, of a tinted chap stick, so if you’re looking for that I recommend Envy Derma Lola Lip Gloss. The packaging on this Cover girl product looks like it could be high end, and I love the lid.
