Discovering Joy through Relationship
by Sue Edwards
Paul’s brief letter to Philippi highlights what strengthens authentic connections-skills like trust, humility, appropriate self-sacrifice, and generosity. It also sheds light on how to overcome toxic connection-killers like envy, comparison, and a critical spirit.

Personally I find books about the bible to be either hit or miss. On one end they can be fantastic with a lot of great information that you take away and carry with you in your life. On the other end there are the books that just make you feel bad about yourself, books where the author lets on to being a perfect person. So I was a bit hesitant to read this Philippians study guide if you will. However I ended up liking it quite well. It starts out with a “How to Study” section and then goes onto it’s lessons. They’re easy to comprehend (as in not getting high brow) and have cool things like maps for visual comprehension. If you like Living Whole Without a Better Half or Move On this is a book to check out.
