Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe (vegan)


 Even as the weather gets colder I find myself still craving smoothies, especially more tropical ones. Because of this I decided to share one of my more recent favorites with you (though I’m still loving the banana smoothie). Although I’m not much of an alcohol drinker myself this smoothie is actually inspired by an alcoholic beverage the in a Colada. And just like the drink it isn’t too hard to make. 

1 Can Pineapple
1 Can Coconut Milk
Dried Coconut (preferably unsweetened)
Hemp Hearts

Pour in roughly half a can of coconut milk, the whole can of pineapples, and three cups of ice, then begin blending. You can use fresh pineapple, though personally I find this to be tedious, and also freeze your pineapple pieces before putting them in the blender in exchange for less ice. Once this is blended well, add two cups of dried coconut and a cup of hemp hearts. Mix until desired constancy and you’re done. The end Pina Colada Smoothie is actually quite sweet so I’d refrain from sweetened coconut milk and dried coconut, it probably won’t need it!
