Review: Minecraft Story Mode

For this #techtuesday I have something that’s especially fun to share with you guys, and something I’ve been excited about. The new video game Minecraft Story Mode. As you probably already know I’m a big Minecraft fan (I’m sure you’ve all seen my builds on the minecraft app) so when Ubisoft sent me Minecraft Story Mode for my Xbox to try out I immediately started playing it.

At the beginning of the game (and beyond) I was impressed to see how much like the actual minecraft game this story mode looks. Starting out, the game guides you through what you’re supposed to do as you play so there isn’t any boring tutorial mode. You choose the main character you want and I’m happy to say there are even females to pick from, one of which I of course went with.

Throughout the game you make choices, explore the Minecraft world, do a little crafting and even get to fight things like zombies. However most of the game is still story. While it says 10+ I’d say that that kids much younger would also enjoy the game, although making the choices in the story with the timer is a little hard. I enjoyed playing it (even if it is a kid’s game)

You can buy it from amazon HERE for just under $30 comes in Xbox 360/ One Playstation 3 / 4 and for PC / MAC
