Outfit – Labor Day at Navy Pier

Labor Day weekend was so busy for me. Friday I was originally going to take my grandmother to get her car’s oil changed but ended up hanging out with my friend and trying to do school work. Saturday I had family stuff and then went thrift store shopping with the grandmother who’s car I was going to take in. Surprisingly I found a few good things. On Sunday more family things, before Monday (Labor Day), going to Chicago with my friend. It was actually pretty hot, but we ended up walking to Navy Pier which is on the shoreline of Lake Michigan and taking outfit photos.

Shirt / Tank / Pants / Shoes (less than $20 on sale) / Sunglasses

Shirt – I’ve previously worn this shirt in a few other outfit posts like the Denim on Bridge Scaffolding look and it is a bit of a staple in my wardrobe now. I’ve worn it more than a few times both buttoned up and loose as more of an unstructured denim jacket.

Tank – To keep the green and blue from looking too weird together I made sure to tie it in with black. The tank is a racerback, and I picked it especially because it’s comfortable.

Pants – At first I was a little worried about pairing these pants with the chambray shirt but I couldn’t help myself from trying out this military inspired look. It is a little bit of a 2005 style but that’s a step up from my regular 90’s grunge look that I tend to go for.

Shoes – Yet another piece of my wardrobe that I wear all the time, these KEDs shoes. I love the low profile and how many things they go with. Right now they’re less than $20.

Sunglasses – Last but not least the sunglasses that I’m wearing in most of the photos. In addition to being hot it was pretty sunny so I borrowed them from my friend, and I’m actually pretty happy with how they match my outfit.
