The New Believer’s Guide to the Christian Life
What Will Change, What Won’t, and Why it Matters
By Alex Early

As a new believer, you may have questions about what to expect. You wonder how to please God, or what will happen if you mess up. But being a Christian isn’t about what you do. It’s about who you are: a child of God. And God loves his children unconditionally. Through his overwhelming love, he changes us from the inside out. In this book, Alex Early gives a realistic depiction of the Christian life. He reveals what it means to find your identity in Christ and how to pray with honesty and transparency. Discover the secrets to living as a child of your heavenly father.

Alex Early is the author of The Reckless Love of God and serves Redemption Church in Seattle, Washington. Alex has been heavily involved in training church leaders both in the U.S. and abroad. He is a sought-after speaker and lives with is wife, Kana, and their two children in Seattle.

My thoughts: When I saw that Bethany House was offering this book for review I immediately thought it would be cool to see what it was about. It is a small almost hand sized book that is less than 200 pages, great for carrying around which I appreciate in a guidebook. Throughout there is a whole lot of scripture, and a very helpful glossary. The New Believer’s Guide to the Christian life is setup in an order perfect for people just starting their faith. The advice is solid and everything is easy to read. If you like A Christian Survival Guide or PrayerPoints you’ll love The New Believer’s Guide to the Christian Life.
