Not too long ago I talked about starting the Jenny Craig program. I had been eating terribly and gaining a lot of weight in the process and when I was offered the chance to try out their weight loss program of course I took it. I’m so glad I did too because the results have been fantastic. In my last blog post I shared how the ordering process worked, and how the food arrived, so now I’ll go a little more into the diet and the diet plan!
Because I had two weeks of meals those were so easy. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner completely taken care of as well as snacks in between meals and they all taste fantastic. Even if you’re a picky eater you don’t have to worry because Jenny Craig has more than 100 menu items, and utilize 40 professional chefs to make the dishes perfect. I found myself looking forward to getting to try the food that was a part of my next meal. Below are a few of the meals I’ve had during my two weeks of meals.
This is a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich which was my in-between classes lunch one day. I had started out having my lunch with a garden salad (as recommended in the Jenny Craig plan), but realized I preferred having the salad as a snack later in the day so I split up my lunch! I actually learned this as a tip from my Jenny Craig Consultant, and things like being able to be flexible with my meal plan have really made the difference in me being able to stick with it.
And another lunch, this one Southwest Style Chicken Fajita Bowl, which might be one of my favorites from the Jenny Craig program.
Last but not least of my meal photos is a fantastic breakfast I had. Before doing this Jenny Craig program I wouldn’t have imagined myself eating breakfast each morning, being that I’ve always hated breakfast foods. Luckily though Jenny Craig has made my morning meal enjoyable. I’m loving their chocolate shakes, and the meals like this breakfast scramble.
While I have spent a lot of time talking about the food, Jenny Craig isn’t just about the food, and it’s a whole system. Members develop a healthy relationship with food, create active lifestyle and learn a more balanced approach to living. Challenges to healthy eating (both internal and external), find enjoyable ways to move more, learn positive coping strategies and reframe their beliefs and attitudes to better support their weight management goals.
While Jenny Craig members can expect to lose an average of 1-2 pounds per week, which is a healthy range of weight loss, which has been completely accurate with what I’ve done so far, and I’m so happy with the results so far! You can try out Jenny Craig yourself (they have a food promotion right now) by clicking HERE
