This semester has been so tough, I’m only a month in and I feel five months behind. Which is exactly why I’ve been a little absent over here. I don’t want to completely take a break though, and so I thought today would be a good day to share an outfit photo. While mixing brown and black isn’t traditional I think it works extremely well in this look, making it a great “model off duty” inspiration outfit for the winter.
Shirt – Off the shoulder tops are so in right now, that I had to make a look with one. I’m particularly loving this one because the cropped square shape and tighter fit. The long sleeve is a little less common
Pants – Black skinny legs are still 100% in for the coveted “off duty” look which is great because they’re so flattering. To up that I like to go with a high waisted, non destroyed wash that keeps it chic.
Coat – The main brown piece is this woolen coat. It hits at the thighs and has a loose fit to contrast with the shirt and pants combo. I went for this one especially because it’s no flair look without buttons and only two pockets.
Bag – Although this is a “black and brown outfit” I did want to add a little color and this bag is perfect for that. In addition to that it’s style fits in with the outfit, and I’m not just saying that because I’m partial to the top handle/cross-body style.
Shoes – The first piece that I added to this outfit, when I decided it would be a neutral combo was this pair of shoes. I’m trying to get away from wearing heels but this chunky pair is a must have.
