DIY Valentine’s Day Table Runner

*Giveaway at Bottom of Post

Happy Valentine’s Day! I originally wanted to get up this DIY post last week (because I haven’t done one in forever), but since I had a little trouble with this project and I’ve been busy with class it is a little late. This table runner isn’t really a high skill sewing project and should only take about two hours to do. Mine only took longer because I had a trial and error to go through.

While I really like all the super feminine bright pink and white Valentine’s Day decorations I wanted to do something a little less traditional for my table runner and am really happy with the results.

The first step is ironing on fusing to the back of the fabric you want to use for the hearts. Then cute out the hearts, in three different sizes. Using zigzag stitches I attached these to the main fabric piece. I didn’t go with a specific order, instead just putting them haphazardly around. Afterwards I quilted around the hearts once before putting on the back on and then binding.
