DIY Bath Bombs + Sugar Scrubs

I’ve been absolutely lacking in the DIY posts lately so I thought to try and make it up I’m sharing a two for one type of post. Both of these sort of “spa DIY” projects and super easy to make and don’t require a whole lot of ingredients. Plus they’re actually quite a bit cheaper than if you bought them already made. Lets start with the Sugar Scrubs

  • Brown Sugar
  • White Sugar
  • Olive Oil
  • Glass Container with Watertight Lid

For this craft all you need is the ingredients above. I didn’t put amounts on these because you just need equal parts of each one. Just mix them together and put into the contain of your choice. I went with glass because I don’t trust plastic.  Now onto the Bath Bombs

  • 1 Cup Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Corn Starch
  • 1/2 Cup Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Epsom Salt
  • Essential Oil
  • Bath Bomb Molds

Using two bowls you’ll want to combine all the dry ingredients in one bowl and all the wet ingredients in the other. Then mix the two together slowly. If you go too fast the ingredients will start fizzing and then you won’t have that in the bath bomb. The texture should be about like wet sand. Put this mixture into the mold and then put it in the freezer for at least an hour and a half. Then let dry out for two days and they’re ready to use.

A few notes: First of all my photos are a little mixed up so they don’t go in the order of the directions but you can still see everything so you’ll know if you’re doing it right. Also as for the bath bomb molds you can get sets like mine for under $5 on amazon or for like $12 get cool shaped ones or sets that are metal. Even with the cheap ones thought this DIY bath bomb was fun to make and they turn out really well.
