Anjou Dead Sea Mud Mask, Review

In my beauty routine one of the most important things is skincare. While I don’t war makeup everyday (especially if I’m just going to school) I’m always sure to do my full skincare routine. I have separate day and night routines as well as those things that I do weekly. Some of these are things to get rid of and keep away acne, some to reduce scars, and some for moisturizing and some to reduce signs of aging.  I’m especially fond of products that can check off more than one of these needs and was very happy to review a dead sea mask that claimed to be able to do so. This dead sea mud mask is from Anjou (you can find them on amazon)  who were nice enough to send it to me for review.  The price is about $18 and has free prime shipping, and is 17 oz.  When it came in I was immediately happy that it was safety sealed with plastic both around the box and inside the container of the dead sea …

TanMeBox Subscription, Unboxing + Review

I’ve tried a lot of subscription boxes. Some are great (like the Popsugar Must Have Box) and others not so much (like the BoxedWingman Date Night Box), which is why I love sharing the subscription boxes with you guys so you can be sure to avoid the bad and know which boxes are good. So on that note I want to introduce you to my latest subscription box the TanMeBox. It is a little different than most subscription boxes because it is a one at a time box that you can buy as you need it instead of being automatically charged each month, and each of the products will be the same each time. It’s kind of like a tanning essentials box.  They offer three different sizes ranging from prices of $62-$82 and I was sent the midrange box for an Instagram post (they aren’t associated with this blog post in any way) and promptly went away at trying it. Inside my box contained two kabuki brushes, gel self tanner, bronzer spray and shimmer bronzer. …

Review: PMD Microderm Device + Skincare

Over a year ago I was given the opportunity to try out the PMD Personal Microderm Device and while I was really excited to do so, the device didn’t work for me. It didn’t just not work, but left marks on my face that didn’t go away for a few days (pretty embarrassing). You can see the whole review HERE at my first PMD Personal Microderm Device Review. I was pretty disappointed that with all the hype my device didn’t work, but was impressed that the company didn’t send me a request (I get these occasionally and don’t comply) to take it down even though the product had been a PR sample. I was even more impressed when I learned that they were updating their product and I was being sent this new Microderm Device to test out as well as a few of the PMD skincare essentials. After keeping it around for a few months I finally got over my fear and decided to try it. I’m so glad I did because my opinion on …

Trying the Derma Roller Skincare System

I know I keep saying I’m going to get my school work schedule figured out and be able to post more regularly but I’m still working on it! With any luck it’ll be in the next few weeks but until then I’m stuck posting things on the weekend. I have had a little bit of time though to try out this derma roller. My results have actually been really good (although they do take a lot of time) so I wanted to share my process, a few tips for doing a derma roller skincare system, and a review of this derma roller. The first step is going to be buying your derma roller, and they come in a variety of needle sizes, from .5 mm to 2.5 mm that make them best for different things. The smallest size is great for hair growth and eye treatments, and almost all are great for cell regeneration, wrinkles and enhanced nutrient absorption. If you have small acne scars you’ll want to go for a small roller and if …

MyChelle Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate, Review

A few years ago, serums and oils really seemed to bust through from the more health conscious crowd (for lack of a better description) and into the more mainstream. Now I know a lot of friends, who wouldn’t think of getting a skin care product without added benefits of vitamins and nutrients. Even the grocery and drug store brands are adding buzz items in.  One of these such items is hyaluronic acid, and since the MyChelle Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate uses it as their active ingredient I was more than happy to give it a try and see if it had anything that made it even better than the competition.   Alright so in the past I’ve tried out a few different MyChelle products, but only one  of them (the MyChelle Perfect Pro Speed Peel) packaged like this Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate. It comes in a white cardboard box with green insets and black font. Inside is a round glass bottle that has the same label around it that the box has on it. The lid is …

MyChelle Perfect C PRO Speed Peel +GIVEAWAY

*GIVEAWAY at bottom of post  I originally started out as a lifestyle blog with a focus on makeup and fashion. As I’ve gotten older though that’s changed. I mean I still love makeup and fashion (and writing the occasional recipe), but I’ve began to talk a lot more about skincare. Both what works for me and what doesn’t and a lot of things in-between have gotten reviews on my blog, because as far as beauty goes nice skin can be a whole lot better than “on fleek” eyeliner. So when I was given the chance to try the Perfect C Pro Speed Peel from MyChelle you know I had to check it out, and I was especially excited because they market it as one of their masks, and have an abnormal affection for skincare masks.  Starting off with the packaging, like I always do this set comes in a white square cardboard box with blue accents, and although the coloring is a little different it looks a lot like the other MyChelle products. Inside is the …

MyChelle Perfect C Radiance Lotion, Review

You’ve probably seen me complain about classwork quite a bit lately but luckily this semester is almost over! One thing I’ve noticed is that the more stressed out I feel the worse I look. Not only do I get breakouts but my skin seems to become more dull, and just look older. It’s actually kind of scary how quickly it can go from being good to bad with a stressful schedule. Because through experience and reading, I know about the benefits of Vitamin C so when I found out MyChelle had a Perfect C Radiance Lotion I of course wanted to check it out. In the past I’ve reviewed a set of the MyChelle Beauty Key 3 Skincare Set and loved each of the pieces so I was excited to see how their MyChelle Perfect C Radiance Lotion would be. It’s made for normal skin and has 12% dose of L-Ascorbic Acid and Plant C-Stem to hydrate, brighten and protect skin. This lotion comes inside a white cardboard box with blue accents and lettering with the …

Dr. Brandt Magnetic Mask, Review + Video

The first time I saw a magnetic mask I was on Instagram scrolling through the explore feed, and of course had to stop and watch the whole video of someone trying it out for the first time. Since then I feel like I’ve been seeing these masks all over the place from youtube to twitter, and I’ve even heard other models I’m friends with raving about them. I was actually going to get myself one (although they tend to be pretty expensive and I’m extremely cheap) around the time a representative for the Dr. Brandt brand offered to send me one of their magnetic masks, which I immediately said yes to, although how the PR company worded it, I wasn’t really expecting this mask to ever come.  So when my Age-Defier Magnetight mask arrived I was even more excited then when they’d contacted me about it, so much so that I sent a photo of the box to my friends group chat. It comes in their branded box, with a photo of a woman trying …

Exuviance Purifying Cleansing Gel, Review

I’m so happy that autumn is almost here. I’ve been wearing comfy clothing (lots of flannels and scarfs), and have been a little more lenient with my sunscreen application, and the fall foliage is so pretty. There’s one thing that I don’t like about fall, and it’s that my skin gets super dry. I’ve been using a humidifier and serums every night but when it comes to cleansing my face it always feels dry and sometimes damaged. So when I was offered the Exuviance Purifying Cleansing Gel I immediately said yes looking to see if this cleanser can solve my problems. I’ve previously tried out a few other Exuviance products which are said to be “dermatologist developed” like the Exuviance Glycolic Moisturizer and while I thought they were a little pricey and sometimes a little too chemically for me, they really do work. So as you might imagine I had a little bit of expectations for this cleansing gel. It comes in a plastic bottle with a top down tube and blue green color. I personally …

D’or24K Instant 60 Sec. Non-Surgical Eye Lift Syringe, Review

Last week I was sent the D’OR 24K Non Surgical Innovation serum. When it arrived in the mail (as a press sample) I didn’t know a thing about it or the company. So of course being the excellent beauty blogger that I am (this is a complete exaggeration of my credentials but I did do a lot of research) I looked into what they were offering. From there I found out this serum is being sold on the D’or24K site for $650, and I couldn’t believe it was being sent to me. Most of the skincare products I review are between $20 and $60 so this would be way out of my league, since I’m not know to do “luxury” skincare reviews. This and the fact I couldn’t find much of anything about the company online other than their own claims, made me even more interested in trying out this expensive skin care product. I’m sharing with you guys a full review including a video trying out the serum as well as before and after …
